Seven stages, from your first call to a line that holds pressure.
This is the order every Sealwyn job runs in, whether you only need the leak found or want it fixed too.
A short phone call
Tell us what made you suspicious: the bill, a warm patch underfoot, a hiss behind a wall. The visit is priced on that call and given a time slot.
Is water really escaping?
All fixtures are shut and the small leak dial on the meter is watched. Then a gauge is fitted to a garden tap and the supply is closed for a quarter of an hour. A dropping reading settles it, even when the meter hardly moves.
Which side is it on?
Shutting the inlet on the water heater tells us whether hot water is being lost. Where the pipework allows, branches are capped and tested one by one.
Where exactly?
Ground microphones pick up escaping water through the floor, and where the leak is on a hot pipe, a thermal camera picks up the spreading warmth. Only when a second method agrees does tape go down.
What should be done?
You see each workable repair on paper: opening the slab at the spot, a new route above the floor, a tunnel from the yard, an internal lining or new pipework throughout, with the reasoning for your house.
Doing the repair
Before any concrete is broken the location is confirmed once more, so there is one opening and it is in the right place.
Proving it holds
The new pipe is held under pressure and watched before we pack up, and any holes in walls, stucco or slab are closed.
